Degree System

Sacred Lotus uses a 8 tier degree system as outlined by the Lunae tradition. Below are the tiers of membership from lowest to highest.

• Seeker

• Dedicant

• Initiate

• 1°

• 2°

• 3°

• Elder

• High Priestess/High Priest

A minimum of a year and a day is spent at each tier. The only exception to this is the time spent between Seeker & Dedicant and Elder & High Priestess/High Priest. Once a member of the Lunae tradition is an Elder, they may request to become a High Priestess/High Priest at any time after their Elder elevation. It is not necessary for an Elder to wait an additional year and a day to receive their elevation to High Priestess/High Priest.

The Lunae degree system is lengthy (start to finish is no less than 5 years) and requires hard work, dedication, and sacrifice to complete. The reasoning for this is that it assures the public and the Wiccan community that all clergy from the Lunae tradition have been trained under some of the highest educational, moral, and ethical standards available from today's Wiccan covens.
